On February 19th, Tampa Tiger Bay Club was excited to bring into the Tigers’ Den two of the three Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate: Congressman Alan Grayson and attorney Pam Keith. The third, Patrick Murphy, was invited but did not appear.

Grayson is the United States Representative for Florida’s 9th congressional district. He previously served as Representative for Florida’s 8th congressional district from 2009 to 2011. He was defeated for re-election in 2010 by Republican Daniel Webster and was then elected in 2012 for a second, non-consecutive term in the House of Representatives, defeating Republican Todd Long. In 2014 he defeated Republican challenger Carol Platt to win re-election. On July 9, 2015, Grayson announced his intentions to run in the United States Senate election to replace Marco Rubio. Keith earned her law degree from Boston College Law School in 1995. She received her M.A. and B.A. in rhetoric and communication from the University of California in 1992 and 1990, respectively. Keith has been admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia, Indiana, and Illinois. She is a board member of Faith, Love, Hope Charity, Inc. a mentor in the Boys and Girls Clubs of Riviera Beach and a member of the Zeta Rho Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
